The sisters of Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi
Alpha Phis cherish life-long friendships rooted in kindness, love and respect for one another.
Alpha Phi supports those in need through service and philanthropy. We share a passion for helping one another and our surrounding communities.
Alpha Phis lead by example and strive for continuous, innovative improvement. Since her inception, Alpha Phi's founders encouraged one another to think, invent and improve.
Alpha Phis are members for a lifetime. We learn the value of loyalty and being true to each other and to our common ideals.
Alpha Phi values each member's passion for education, knowledge, and achievement. Our founders were ten of the first twenty women admitted to Syracuse University in 1872 and they had the courage to persevere to earn a college education despite societal expectations at the time.
Living Our Values
On the behalf of the Theta Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi, I am more than honored to welcome you to our official website! My name is Ernesha Bland and I am currently serving as the Chapter President of Alpha Phi at the University of Central Missouri.
I am extremely honored and blessed to lead this outstanding group of women whom without, I wouldn’t know where or who I would be. When I received my bid, I found what I didn’t know I was missing. I found my best friends, my greatest motivators, my inspiration, and my home away from home. Alpha Phi has pushed me to believe and set goals for myself that I know I can accomplish through the confidence and support that they give me. My sisters are what motivate me to succeed and strive for greatness every single day and I am in constant awe of their beauty inside and out.
The sisterhood of Alpha Phi stretches from coast to coast throught out the U.S. & Canada on over 168 collegiate campuses with more than 200,000 members. At Alpha Phi, we share a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to help one another and our communities. At the University of Central Missouri, the Theta Lambda chapter enhances and promotes each member’s development and learning by focusing on sisterhood, service, leadership, loyalty, and character development. Our chapter prides ourselves in our unique union of members from a varity of backgrouds and nationalities. We are dedicated to character development, philanthropy, and service. Our chapter is full of leaders in countless organizations on campus and in our community. We strive for excellence in everything we do while still managing to have fun along the way, embodying what it truly means to be an Alpha Phi. But what I find most rewarding about being a part of our chapter is the genuine and supportive sisterhood that I am so thankful to be a part of.
